Winery & Wine Bar

Tucked away in the Driftless area of Wisconsin in the Town of Blue Mounds our winery was established in 2014 and honors our Italian heritage. We have over 350 vines on our farm consisting of Foch, Frontenac, Petite Pearl, St. Pepin and La Crescent grapes. Our vineyard was planted in 2010 and as our vines continue to mature we source grapes from other local vineyards. Our first vintage was created in fall of 2014 and has matured into a medium bodied red with hints of cherry.

In addition to our own locally produced wine, we have selected other wines from Italy, France and those that align with our own philosophy of sustainable practices. Enjoy the list of wines below on Friday and Saturday evenings in our tasting room or outside overlooking Blue Mounds under our Pergola. You may also sample our wines at our Farm-to-Table dinner events throughout the year.

Dining


In addition to wine making, we are passionate about food. We are a small family farm that raises pastured heritage pork, grass fed lamb as well as naturally raised vegetables and fruits. We use ingredients from our farm as much as possible and turn to other local producers for items that we do not grow. Other ingredients are sourced as locally as possible. Our dining experience ranges from seasonally inspired specials and appetizers on Friday evenings to more formal five course farm-to-table dinners on Saturdays. Farm-to-table dinners are held indoors at our winery at long communal tables. Friday evenings and our cenetta dinners are more informal and family friendly with individual party seating indoors or outdoors weather permitting. Cenetta dinners are prix fixe three course dinners that may be booked in advance. Our weekly wine bar favorites include house made rustic Italian bread, an artisan cheese board, antipasto board and warm olives. Reservations are required for farm-to-table dinners and recommended but not required for Friday evenings. Reservations are highly suggested for cenetta dinners. Walk in customers are always welcome on Saturday afternoons during summer hours and Friday evenings. We are a no tip facility and have instead instituted a fixed percent service charge on a customer's final bill. This allows us to offer a fair wage to our staff. Wines

Campo di Bella Fossil Rock Red 2014

Medium bodied red wine made with 100% Foch grapes sourced from a local vineyard. A slightly tart dry red with hints of cherry. It is our first vintage of wine prepared by our winery on our farm.

Campo di Bella Fossil Rock Red 2015

Equal blend of Foch and Frontenac grapes harvested from local Wisconsin vineyards. It is a dry medium bodied red with notes of cherry.

Campo di Bella Winter’s Frost 2016

Medium bodied red wine made with 100% Foch grapes sourced from a local vineyard. A slightly tart dry red with hints of cherry.

Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2013

This is a dry medium bodied wine with a strong ruby red color and is well-balanced. Notes of vanilla and ethereal airs and notes of red currants, black cherry and cassis in the bouquet. This is a well-balanced wine with long lasting flavor. The grapes in this dry medium bodied wine include 30% Corvina; 30% Corvinone; 30% Rondinella: 10% Rossignola, Oseleta, Negrara and Dindarella.

Chianti Classico Riserva di Famiglia DOCG 2014

The grapes for the Riserva di Famiglia are all estate grown, produced, aged and bottled. The color of this wine is an intense ruby red. It has flavors of dark raspberry, currants, earth and ripe red fruit. Luscious tannins. The Cecchi family invests in important sustainability initiatives in the vineyards and unparalleled technology at the wineroes. The Cecchi Family's winemaking philosophy of showcasing purity and quality of the Sangiovese grape, and only produced in the best vintage years. The grapes in this wine comprise of 90% Sangiovese and 10% other red varietals.

Famille Brichet Plateau des Chenes Lirac 2014

A full-bodied wine with a smooth texture. Notes of blackberry, cherry and savory lavendar with a long finish. This wine is made of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah.

Il Conte Stella Rosa Rosso

From the village of Santo Stefano Belbo in Piedmont comes this refreshing sweet red wine best served chilled and accompanied with fresh fruit and cheese. This is a light bodied red wine similar to a chilled Lambrusco.

Joseph Drouhin LaForet Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2015

Laforêt Bourgogne rouge, made 100% with this famous grape, is the archetype of red Burgundy for Joseph Drouhin. A wine full of charm: bright ruby colour and a nose rich with aromas of red fruit (raspberry, red currants, wild strawberry). On the palate, the wine is pleasant, fruity and refreshing, with light tannins and great elegance.

Scott Harvey Barbera 2014 Riserve

Fruit forward, rich full flavors expressing both the varietal and the Amador Terroir. This complex wine has notes of bright red cherries, pepper and mulberry with a bright center finishing with chocolate and spice. 72% Wilderotter Barbera Vineyard, 10% Coon Barbera Vineyard, 18% York Syrah Vineyard.

Scott Harvey Vineyard 1869 Zinfandel

Vineyard 1869, America’s oldest Zinfandel Vineyard. Briary varietal Zinfandel. Deep blackberry, fig, pomegranate, and violets, balanced with a fleshy center and hints of coffee and bright currants. Old Vine complexity and first growth quality.

Tedeschi Capitel San Rocco Valpolicella Ripasso DOC

A ruby red fresh and young wine with notes of cherries and red currant. Produced in the plains at the foot of Pedemonte hills in the heart of the historic Valpolicella Classica area the wine is a blend of 25% Corvina, 25% Corvinone, 30% Rondinella, 10% Molinara, 10% Rossignola, Negrara, Dindarella.

Three Red Label Zinfandel 2014

The Zinfandel grapes sourced for this wine are from relatively new plantings in and around the bay area. It is a blend of 76% Zinfandel, 16% Petite Sirah, 5% Carignane, 2% Mataro, and 1% Alicante Bouschet. There is a deep concentration of ripe black cherries and spice with a minerality (earthy berry) sneaking through. The mouth-feel is rich and balanced with a lingering peppery finish.

Vigilance Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

A medium bodied red crafted from 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Syrah, 5% Petite Sirah. From the Red Hills, Lake County Northern California AVA region. From the vineyards web site "Generated from their art of farming using sustainable practices and their spirit of being careful to preserve land for future generations" They also use sheep to graze their vineyards.

Ceretto Blange Langhe Arneis DOC 2014

This Italian vineyard is located in the hillside of Vezza d'Alba and run by the Ceretto Family. The wine is made from Arneis grapes and is medium straw in color and has hints of pear and apple blossoms.

Ceretto Moscato d'Asti DOCG

Made from 100% Moscato grapes this sparkling sweet wine from Alba in Northwestern Italy. It is the par excellence dessert wine.It has an intensely fruity and characteristically aromatic nose with a nice persistency. The sweet flavor is perfectly balanced with its low alcohol content and acidity, giving the wine an inviting freshness.

Ruffino Prosecco

Prosecco is a sparkling white wine made only in specific provinces of northeastern Italy. All Prosecco wines are made primarily from the Glera grape near Trieste. Ruffino Prosecco is fruity and fragrant with clean notes of citrus, pears and apples along with slight hints of hawthorn, wisteria and elder. Fine bubbles caress the palate, while intense flavors of apples and peaches give the wine a pleasing finish.DOC

Isole e Olena Vin Santo 2005

Produced from Malvasia Trebbiano grapes by Isole e Olena Winery in Tuscany this rich Italian dessert wine has sweet and nutty characteristics of hazelnut, caramel and figs with bright acidity and hints of tropical fruit.

Presidential Tawny Porto

A supple, fruity, style of Tawny. It combines velvety sweet nut and fruit flavors with good balance and a long pleasant finish. In 1999 Impact Databank ranked Presidential as one of the ten leading Imported brands of Port in the U.S.
